How to Download Your Cloud Bill
For AWS Users
Step 1: Enable Cost and Usage Reports (One-time Setup)
- Sign in to AWS Console
- Go to Billing and Cost Management → Data Exports → Cost and Usage Reports
- If you don’t have a report yet:
- Click “Create report”
- Enter report name (e.g., “monthly-bill”)
- Check “Include resource IDs” (optional but helpful)
- Select an S3 bucket for storage (create one if needed)
- Choose CSV format
- Click Create
- ⚠️ First report takes 24 hours to generate
Step 2: Download Your Bill
- Go to S3 Console
- Navigate to your billing bucket
- Find folder:
[report-name]/[date-range]/ - Download the
.csv.gz file (compressed CSV) - Extract the
.gz file to get the CSV - Upload the CSV to this tool
Quick Alternative (Simplified Format):
- Go to Billing Console → Bills → Select month
- Click “Download CSV” button
- Upload the CSV here
For GCP Users
Download from Cost Table:
- Sign in to Google Cloud Console
- Go to Billing → Select your billing account
- Click “Cost Table” in the left menu
- Set your time range (must be after Jan 1, 2022 for CSV export)
- Apply any filters if needed (Project, Service, etc.)
- Click the download icon (↓) in the top right
- Select “CSV”
- The file downloads directly to your browser
- Upload the CSV here
Note: The old file export to Cloud Storage is deprecated. Use Cost Table download instead.
For Azure Users
Method 1: Quick Download (Recommended)
- Sign in to Azure Portal
- Search for “Cost Management + Billing”
- Go to “Usage + charges”
- Select the month you want to analyze
- Click “Download” button
- Choose “Cost and usage details (actual)”
- Click “Prepare document” (takes a few minutes)
- Click “Download csv” when ready
- Upload the CSV here
Method 2: Scheduled Exports (For Regular Analysis)
- Navigate to “Cost Management” → “Exports”
- Click "+ Add" to create new export
- Configure:
- Export type: “Cost and usage details (actual)”
- Frequency: Daily, Weekly, or Monthly
- Storage account: Select or create one
- Container and folder path
- Format: CSV
- Click “Create”
- Wait for next scheduled export
- Download from Azure Storage Explorer or Portal
- CSV (Recommended) - Standard comma-separated values
- TXT - Text files with comma or tab separation
- Compressed files - Extract
.gz files before uploading - Max file size: 10MB
